NOVEMBER 29, 2011 (SANTA BARBARA, CA/PR – Laura Waters, CEO and Founder of SweetHearts Bakery and Have a Heart for Rwanda will be showcasing some of her healthy and delicious baked goods at Santa Barbara's Downtown Holiday Parade on Friday, December 2, at 6:30 pm at Ultimate Bagels, located at 1226 State Street.

SweetHearts Bakery came into being after Waters made a trip to Africa that she claims was, "Life-altering." She discovered what she believes is her life-mission, which is now found in the faces and hearts of the beautiful Rwandan Children.

"I have been fortunate enough to become a part of a wonderful project called, Mustard Seed Project USA,a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization." This wonderful organization, which was founded by Pastor Deo Gashagaza, is dedicated to providing acts of mercy and mission in East and Central Africa. He and his staff sacrificially give themselves to assist the orphans in Africa. Many of these children walk miles just to get one meal three times a week. Once they are at the mission, they get bathed, fed and have some religious studies. Afterwards, they return to their impoverished homes or to the streets, and shockingly, some of these children are under 5 years-of-age.

All proceeds from SweetHearts Bakery are used to feed these starving orphan children in Rwanda through the Mustard Seed Project. Waters says, “My focus is all about expansion and growth. They need a building (shelter), food and a lot of love and care. I am excited and grateful to be a part of something so vital and rewarding.”

Waters says, “I am delighted to offer delicious desserts (mostly organic), and many of which are gluten-free and vegan. With a commitment to health-conscious baked goods, we use the highest quality ingredients, and everything is always prepared with LOVE.”

SweetHearts Bakery will provide an array of delectable creations to satisfy every pallet at the holiday event, and Waters will be available to answer any questions about her global efforts in Rwanda.
